Plot

A very long time ago, in a land incredibly foreign to your own, lived an intelligent species of cats. These cats were feral, roaming around without law, without leadership, killing any other that got in their way and living only for their own self-preservation. It had been said that Two-Legs lived there a very, very long time ago, but they were all gone. Some lived in the ruins of their nests, others repelled them. The land was incredibly grown-in and untamed, with churning rivers, tall mountains, vast forests, and sticky marshes.

This ungoverned, free land was then claimed by a very powerful tomcat one day. He was large, muscled, and brave and settled into a ruined castle at the top of the mountain. He allied with every strong cat his dark, blazing eyes lie on, and took out any cat who dared to oppose him. He then ruled over the land, cruely denying any wrong-doing cat of their natural rights. Even free cats had very little rights or freedom of speech. But some cats agreed with this ruling, and saw it as a very great change compared to the previous lawless way of life before.

The cats who opposed the King gathered together in secret, expanding their forces until they had a small army. This resistance then launched a full-out attack on the castle, attempting at overthrowing the King by taking his life. They failed, though, and were driven back to their camp. Now that their group was known, they plotted out a territory of their own, managing to defend it. As they established themselves as "The Rebellion", other cats began to join them to fight back against "The Confederation".

Now, the land has been divided in two, one half belonging to the Rebellion, and the other half belonging to the Confederation. Each side has been fighting vigorously to claim the other half of the land, dominating all power. Some see it silly, but still fight with another side, for all those who try to roam freely are killed, thought to be intruders.

Both are equally matched, the Confederation with mainly large, powerful cats--smaller, weaker cats are used to serve the King. The Rebellion is completely filled with rag-tag followers, with little effective organization, but with very large numbers.
